VAT Exemption
As a disabled person you may well be able to buy your wheelchairs without having to pay the government their 17.5 % cut. Read this section to find out if you are eligible, and what to do it you are.
What is Vat Exemption?
Most of our customers are exempt from VAT by virtue of their chronic disability. Therefore prices shown do not include VAT. If you qualify for VAT exemption then you will need to complete the self-declaration of exemption on purchase.
You are exempt from paying VAT on wheelchairs and power chairs if :
Individuals :
If you are chronically sick or disabled and the products are for your personal use. You do not need a Doctor's letter or other such documentation. Full details can be found at:

Where the goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use. Full details can be found at:

If you are buying this product for or on behalf of someone who is chronically sick or disabled and the product(s) is for their personal use.
Non-eligible customers:
If you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the full 17.5% VAT on the whole of your order.
